I always travel on my own or with friends, but as I could only visit for 12 days, I decided to write to several tour operators in Uzbekistan to see what tours were available, as I did not want to spend time searching for plane and train tickets, reserving hotels, obtaining two visas (for which I needed Letters of Invitation, or LOI), etc.

After receiving approximately 5 replies from different agencies, I opted for Anur Tours, as Elina Shaposhnikova was very helpful; she always replied very promptly, and provided useful information and suggestions. She was also extremely patient, in spite of the fact that I modified the original itinerary several times!
I can wholeheartedly recommend anyone looking for a trustworthy agency in Uzbekistan to write to Elina at Anur Tours: just let her know where you’d like to go, and what you’d like to do, and she will prepare an itinerary for you, with hotel suggestions at different price categories.
I visited Bishkek and Bokonbaeva in Kyrgyzstan (wanted to see famous felting process there); then Tashkent, Fergana Valley (highly recommended, especially Kokand and Margilan, to see silk production process and wonderful ikats), Bukhara and Samarkand.
Their guides and drivers are fantastic, everything went very smoothly, and I enjoyed it so much, I am considering returning to Central Asia. If I do, I will once again do it through Anur Tours.
