 Uzgen

Uzgen is a small town located in Osh region of Kyrgyzstan. Was known since II century BC because of relation with Karahanids dynasty. 'Uzgen became the abode of Muhammad b. Nasr during the Kara-Khanid split into two branches.' Wikipedia says. 


Interesting fact - Uzgen is located in same natural valley as Fergana - they share same ground and citizens of Fergana have so-called free border pass because of sharing.

Local sights: Uzgen Minaret tower. Built in 11th century AD, it represents the architectural way of ancient Kyrgyz people - the minaret completely ignores majolica, mosaic and any colored applications, yet decorated with flowery carving from top to bottom, and its whole 27.5 meters!
